Fire Doors

Fire Doors

Fire doors form a crucial part of a building’s passive fire protection system.

The integrity of compartmentation is only as strong as its weakest point. Fire doors should be manufactured, tested, installed and maintained to the highest standards to ensure continued compliance.

Compliance

Correctly installed Fire Doors can prevent the spread of flame and smoke for the required period of time, contain a fire at its point of origin, protect escape routes for safe evacuation and the building itself to limit damage to property and assets.

Fire doors should be tested and certified by a recognised third party body. They should be installed and maintained by competent and qualified personnel.

Hillmoore are certified to install both Timber and Steel Fire Rated Door Sets. Integrity ratings are available from 30 minutes to 2 hours and can incorporate security standards as well.

We provide fire door inspection and planned maintenance services to ensure your doors remain fully operational and compliant.

Our inspector is BRE Certified and holds the FDIS Diploma. All Installation, Inspection and Maintenance work is recorded using BORIS software, which provides individual door records with detailed information for your building records.

All our work is backed by third party accreditation through Firas (Warrington Fire Research Station) and covered by our Professional Indemnity Insurance.

We have completed multiple door installation packages throughout stations on the London Underground Network using traditional timber door sets and Assa Abloy steel door sets. We have worked with Booth Industries on the Northern Line Extension and Crossrail Stations with installation, inspection and maintenance of their bespoke high security door sets.

Some notable door projects that Hillmoore have completed include Culham Science Centre, Sheffield Hallam University, Royal Berks Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital, Thames House and Hyde Park Barracks for the 2012 Olympics to name but a few.
